Around the Web

This is going to be quick because I’ve a test and paper due tomorrow (oh, the joys of exam time!). Well, exam time means there’s a good chunk of time spend surfing the web ignoring all the projects I have piling up. Just kidding. A little. I thought I’d share some fun things I’ve found around the internet lately.

Several cat videos are about to happen, just a warning. They are the ultimate productivity suck.

I found my next workout routine for when Best Body Bootcamp wraps up:

True life, I’ve actually tried to bicep curl my cat before. Unfortunately she only weighs 7lbs so it wasn’t much of a workout. Thanks to this video I know realize the key is a cat in each hand. Watch out kitties.

I know this video is all over the place but I seriously die laughing every single time I see it. I don’t think it will ever get old.

I just want to know what cat would actually let you dress them up in a shark costume, because I want one. I think my hands would be shredded if I attempted that my cats.

16 Sasst Tweets from The Nation’s 16th Largest School District – I don’t know if this should make me proud of my former school district, or just worried for education.

9 Myths & Misconceptions about Pilates – I think I’ve heard every single one of these since becoming a Pilates and they’re just not true. Pilates is awesome and I think everyone should do it. I might be a little biased about that 🙂

I’m currently completely obsessed with this song. Like listen to it 10+ a day everyday kind of obsessed, I can’t get enough!

I’m also obsessed with Macklemore‘s album “The Heist”. I bought it before my 10-miler for a little new music to push me through those 10 miles and it’s pretty fantastic.

I also think Macklemore’s face is pretty fantastic. Actually, I think I just like a man in Batman footie pajamas.

Maybe I shouldn’t admit that.

99U by Behance – while their articles are mainly design-focused, they have some really great articles about more general topics like cultivating creativity and business advice. Plus because the website if for designers, the design is beautiful, is it bad that I immediately judge websites based on how pretty they are? I just can’t take a poorly designed website seriously, I just can’t.

62 Gluten Free Dessert Recipes – thanks to Greatist, I am drooling already.

Tina’s adding some exciting new features to the next round of Best Body Bootcamp, which you should definitely check out because it’s an AMAZING program.

Rednecks & Kitty Cats {MIMM}

Before we get to the marvelous in my Monday, I have to take a minute to address something that is not-so-marvelous.

My heart goes out to all the people that were hurt or otherwise impacted by what happened today in Boston. Although what happened today was horrible, I have to say it’s pretty marvelous to see the running community come together to support one another at a time like this.

(Happy birthday Katie!)

Marvelous is… My 22nd birthday is tomorrow! Actually it’s in 1.5 hours, I came in to the world bright and early at 12:30 AM.

Marvelous is… Joint birthday parties! My friend’s birthday is Friday so we had a joint party over the weekend. The theme? Rednecks and cats. No joke, we are a creative bunch.

party

The rednecks.

dale

NASCAR-themed temporary tattoos may have been involved.

champagne

Along with prop 40s you couldn’t convince any of us to drink. We try to keep it classy.

Cats were not well represented because cat apparel does not exist after Halloween, I did rock some Hello Kitty rings.

hellokitty

Try not to be too jealous.

Marvelous is… beautiful weather and weekend hikes. A very muddy, but fun 5 miles.

hike1

hike2

I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was worried about my camera landing in a pile of mud, which isn’t really ideal.

We did the Boone Fork Trail Loop, which is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, the trail is the perfect combination of beautiful views, uphill climbs and creek hopping. My buns were on FIRE by the end, so worth it though.

Marvelous is… birthday cake.

cake2

cake4

I used Betty Crocker’s gluten-free yellow cake mix for the base, and because we all know I can’t just leave things be, I added a 1/4 cup of peanut butter to the mix which was a very delicious choice. The frosting is just Cool Whip with cocoa powder and cinnamon mixed in. Easy, cheap, and trans-fat free. I can get behind that.

I made my own, which my friends thought was really sad I made my own cake (they did offer to make one for me, I’m just stubborn), but since I love to bake I actually really enjoyed it. Lame? Maybe, but I got to lick the bowl which was more than worth it.

And the gluten-filled cake for the gluten-eaters:

cake3

My friend did a pretty impressive job on the decoration! I definitely scraped off the cat so I could eat it myself 🙂

Plus a few other party foods:

brownies

Gluten-free brownies. AND my favorite part:

float

Beer floats. Well, A beer float, no one else was feeling quite so adventurous but you better believe I went there. The combo was actually pretty tasty.

Marvelous is… Engagements!

engaged

These two got engaged on Saturday! I’m so excited for them! Plus the ring really offsets her new dragon tattoo.

Marvelous is… Sunday school cookouts! We got together at our small groups leader’s house and had a delicious lunch. The carnivores had barbecue chicken sandwiches, but they were nice enough to cook up a few veggie burgers for me and the other vegetarian in the group. I didn’t take any pictures but it was a good time!

Marvelous is… look-a-like clay figurines. The couple that leads our small group has a very artsy 10 year old daughter and she made us all figurines that look like us.

model

That little girls is seriously talented! My figurine is only about 1.5″ tall and the detail is pretty awesome. I’m adding it to the collection of drawing she’s made for me over the past few Sundays!

Marvelous is… Best Body Bootcamp Phase Two! I’m already sore from today’s workout! I’m already looking forward to the rest of the week’s workouts!

Marvelous is… 5 days until the Tar Heel 10-miler! Eep! I’m both super nervous and super excited!

What made your Monday Marvelous?

Are you a fan of themed parties? What’s the most ridiculous theme party you’ve ever been to?

What’s your favorite flavor of cake? I’m not sure that there’s a flavor of cake I don’t like, but red velvet and carrot cake are pretty high up there! Peanut butter and chocolate is always a winner too 🙂

Oh Monday {MIMM}

Oh Mondays, why are you so cruel?

You’re screeching alarm is such a rude awakening after a rejuvenating weekend. Can we make a deal where we just skip to Friday? I can get on board with that?

No? Okay, I’ll stop complaining, after all sometimes Mondays can be a little Marvelous… or something like that.

(Thanks Katie!)

Marvelous is… semi-spontaneous trips home. After being out of town the past two weeks, I was planning on actually spending a weekend in Boone, but Thursday night I decided to head home and celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was exactly what I needed.

Marvelous is… kitty snuggles

jenny cat

Full on crazy cat lady status and I’m not even ashamed about it. Cats make life better.

Marvelous is… applying for graduation and ordering my cap and gown last week! Holy cannoli, where did the time go? I’m pretty sure yesterday I was just a little freshman living it up in the dorms. I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready for the real world.

high school friends graduation

High school pictures are so awkward. I can’t believe this was four years ago!

Marvelous is… Saturday morning pancakes. I haven’t made pancakes in FOREVER and they need to happen much, much more often. Nothing says happy Saturday like a stack of pancakes.

gluten free strawberry pancakes

The pancakes are 1 small banana, 1 egg and 2 tsp mashed together until smooth and cooked in a grease pan like a regular pancake. How an egg and banana create such a fluffy pancake is magic I don’t even understand, but I do know they will be on regular rotation from now on.

Speaking of pancakes, want to see something gross? Of course you don’t but I’m showing you anyway.

chocolate pancake fail

That would be probably the most epic pancake fail you will ever witness. Almond meal, flax meal, cocoa powder and almond milk do not combine into a delicious pancake, instead they combine into one shitty looking (literally) mess that tastes like nothing. But I topped it with a little vanilla frosting and ate it anyway. Frosting makes everything better.

Marvelous is… a cocoa powder dessert that isn’t a complete failure:

cocoa powder peanut butter sweet potato healthy dessert

A sweet potato topped with peanut butter, cocoa powder, cinnamon and a tiny sprinkle of salt. Did I mention I’ve been on a chocolate kick lately? I can’t get enough of the stuff. Actually my chocolate cravings are pretty perpetual (thank you estrogen) but they’ve been especially bad lately. Gimme dat chocolate.

Marvelous is… mountain roads during sunset.

US 421 NC mountains sunset

This photo does the scene absolutely no justice, but it is an amazing sight. I think I’m actually going to miss the mountains a little come May. Flat land is just not as beautiful.

Marvelous is… Mediterranean food. Boone has an amazing restaurant scene, but we are severely lacking in the Mediterranean cuisine department. Good thing we have plenty at home so I can get my fix.

Jasmins mediterranean food

Oh pita points, why must you mock me?

Marvelous is… internship interviews. Actually, interviews are no fun at all, but I had a phone interview today for a potentially AMAZING internship, I’m not sure how the interview went because I didn’t actually do much talking, but keep your fingers crossed for me. I applied for this internship last year and didn’t get it so I’m hoping for a little redemption this year 🙂

Marvelous is… looking to get my Pilates certification! I’m loving teaching too much to stop after graduation. Right now, I’m looking at going the Balanced Body route, but if you guys know anything about Pilates certifications help a girl and give me your recommendations!

Marvelous is… the Yogalates class I’m teaching on Wednesday. It’s a Pilates/yoga fusion class and I’ve never taught anything like it before, but I get to be a little creative with it and should be a lot of fun.

yogalates promotional poster

Marvelous is… finally getting in a long run (8 miles!) after missing out for the past 2 weeks. Not-so-marvelous… the fact that it was on the treadmill and I tweaked something behind my knee 😦 boo hoo. Icing it like crazy and forcing myself to sit down and not irritate it, which is surprisingly easy and difficult all at the same time.

What made your Monday Marvelous?

Do you like Mediterranean food? I’m a huge fan but my boyfriend is not, crazy boy.

Mountains or beach?

14 Random Things for Thursday

  1. It’s sleeting outside, my favorite weather! Said no one EVER. Sorry mother nature but sleet is the most worthless weather ever, I do not enjoy ice falling from the sky.

  2. Sometimes if you come to my Pilates class, I’ll give you lollipops

    Photo0901
The organic kind with extra vitamin C, because I have to make you believe they’re healthy.

  3. I wish I had a kitty to snuggle with right now
    jenny cat
This weekend I will! Homeward bound for my mom’s birthday.
  4. I’ve had the most intense craving for chocolate lately, I’ve been mixing cocoa powder into EVERYTHING but it is just not the same as a huge chocolate bar. I need to find one ASAP. Girl problems.
  5. I gave a speech about Scooby Doo in my public speaking class, did you know Scooby Doo’s real name is Scoobert Doo? He fancy.

  6. Speaking of Scooby Doo, I watched 2.5 episodes today while running on the treadmill, my favorite new way to pass the time. 5 miles in 55 minutes, I need things to warm up because treadmill runs are starting to push my sanity.
  7. This article made me squeal a little: De-Stressing Inspiration From Cats and Dogs So. Dang. CUTE.
  8. Mustaches with roommates:
Of course mine was pink 🙂 Sometimes mustache parties happen on random Thursday nights, did I mention I love my roommates?
  9. Yessssssss

Colonel Meow is my favorite, please check him out if you haven’t. Hi-larious.
  10. I got asparagus on sale for $1.49/lb, super produce sales for the win! Asparagus is usually $5/lb yeahhhhhh. Sorry, I get really excited about vegetable deals because they don’t happen often enough.
  11. I still owe you guys a post about Fit Expo, it’s coming I promise! I want to devote a real amount of time to writing it, time which is non-existent right now, soon!
  12. I have a friend who works at Disney World and she has gotten to meet Honey Boo Boo and her family AND Tina Fey. So jealous.
  13. The earring in my rook fell out today, which is weird because that’s never happened before, I have no idea where it went, but luckily when you have 10 ear piercings there are plenty to go around.

Here’s a random close up picture from the day I got it done (3 years ago! Time for a new one! Just kidding dad, sorta).

  14. I don’t want to end this post with a picture of my ear or on an odd number (I’m an even number freak) so here’s another picture of a cat because that seems to be the theme tonight.

    Ohmygoodness. I can’t handle it.

Are you a Scooby Doo fan? What are your favorite cartoons?

Do you have any piercings? 4 in my right lobe, 3 in my left lobe, 2 in my left cartilage and my right rook, sounds like a lot but it doesn’t look to crazy… I think.

Are you a Colonel Meow or Grumpy Cat fan? You have to pick one, I’m team Colonel Meow AKA the best team (kidding but not really)

A Case of the Mondays {MIMM}

Happy Monday!

(Thanks Katie! I’m loving the spruced up graphic)

I’m not going to lie I had a serious case of the Mondays. It was one of those days where I just wanted to curl up in bed, blow off all my obligations and take 8 naps in a row. Too bad I have silly things like classes to go and exams to take so that didn’t happen boo.

Okay, less complaining, more marvelous.

Marvelous is… exercise endorphins! Turned my stinky mood upside down, I only wish I had time to run sooner. I need to bring back morning workouts, except that 5am wake up calls are not happening anymore soooo… maybe not.

Marvelous is… Time at home! Weekends at home are just good for my sanity.

Marvelous is… Strawberries and chocolate fondue, courtesy of a Trader Joe’s trip (oh, Trader Joe, I have missed you more than you will ever know, so much so I went twice in one weekend)

strawberries and chocolate fondue

Chocolate + Strawberries needs to happen more often. I’m thinking once a night.

Marvelous is… Dinner out when the parentals are paying. Thanks guys 🙂 A trip to Sweet Tomatoes and Tijuana Flats happened. So dang delicious.

salad bar overachieving

tijuana

Hellooooo salads. I don’t think I’m getting enough vegetables, I should really try harder.

Marvelous is… Birthday dinners (er, lunches) we met my brother in Chapel Hill for lunch at the Mediterranean Deli. Why is Mediterranean food so good? And why isn’t there more of it in Boone?

mediterranean deli lunch

I’m drooling all over again. Starting with the fruit and going clockwise we have fruit kabobs roasted veggies, eggplant and squash stew and avocado salad. Plus pita bread that was distributed to the rest of my family. The avocado salad is hiding under the pita, but there was like 2 whole avocados in that thing. Amazing.

Marvelous is… Cookie butter samples at Trader Joe’s. I might have walked past the sample table twice, and then made my mom grab me a third because I was too ashamed to go back a third time, but not enough to not make her do it for me. On an less marvelous note, the beer sampler thought I was 12, not quite. At least the beer was tasty.

trader joe's cookie butter

Gluten be damned. This stuff is amazing! Funny side note, while googling cookie butter images all the pictures that popped up were taken by food bloggers. They don’t joke around with their cookie butter.

Marvelous is… My kitty cats. I missed them, I don’t care if that makes me a crazy cat lady.

jenny cat

And Sam is doing really well, no large intestine means he can eat all the cat treats he wants which he is very excited about.

samham

This photo was taken pre-surgery because his little belly is now bald. I think he’s praying it grows back soon.

Marvelous is… my completely immature sense of humor. I saw these instructions on a bag of steamable frozen vegetables

package directions

It says “gently massage package” if you can’t read it due to my wonderful high quality photography (my camera phone has a whole 3 pixels and I know you’re super jealous). I laughed at this way longer than I care to admit and way longer than is normal for a 21 year old girl.

Marvelous is… Midweek grocery runs.

eggs and runner's world

Organic eggs and the latest Runner’s World. You know, the essentials. Bonus is that the magazine was free because I wracked up enough loyalty program points at Earth Fare, yeahhhhh free stuff. My favorite.

What made your Monday Marvelous?

What did you do this weekend?

Do you have pets? What kind?

Friday Rambles

Guys, I’m seriously slacking on my Pilates posts, sorry about that! I promise to make up for it later. But in the mean time, I’m feeling some rambles, I couldn’t think of a cool alliteration for it so you are just stuck with Friday rambles. Get ready, I have the attention span of a 5 year old, actually they might have me beat.

  • I leave for South Carolina tomorrow! We’re spending the weekend there to have pre-Christmas with my grandfather, aunt and uncle. My boyfriend’s tagging along too because we’ve been dating for 6 years and he still hasn’t met my extended family, I hope he’s in for an all new level of crazy. Just kidding, my family’s not too bad. Sometimes…
    fam2

    circa 2010

Two things about this picture, one, it is physically impossible for my family to take a picture where everyone’s eyes are open, seriously every single picture someone is blinking, two, my family makes me look like a shrimp. I promise I’m actually 5’4″ my family is just a bunch of super tall freaks.

  • I’m very upset at my gut right now for hating gluten. I just want to stuff my face with spritz cookies but nooooooooo. Boo.

    spritz1
You look so tasty yet you are so so mean to my tummy. Gluten-free substitute cookies just aren’t the same. You best believe I’m eating like 50 of these puppies Christmas morning, the day after Christmas is already super depressing so having a terrible stomach ache won’t make it much worse. That sounds a little terrible but it’s my plan.

  • Even though they’re not spritz cookies, I’ve had some pretty good gluten-free cookies lately, first these guys:

    almondcookies
Then I picked up some of these guys at the store:
    gluten free gingerbread cookies
Hit the gingerbread spot. They were light and fluffy, the texture was a little crumbly but I didn’t mind. Only 12 come in a box which is kinda lame, but probably a good thing because if I go crazy and eat the whole box I won’t feel too bad about it.

    And tonight I made these:

    pbblossoms
PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS. I. Love. These. Cookies. Luckily gluten-free peanut butter cookies are super easy to make and all I had to do was add the Hershey’s kiss. Dark chocolate Hershey’s kiss of course.

For the cookie, I used this recipe from the Detoxinista, except I left out the salt because I was using salted peanut butter and I added 1/4 cup almond meal because my batter was looking pretty wet and I was scared it wouldn’t hold up the kiss. I found the Detoxinista’s blog through a google search and she has a ton of grain-free and flourless recipes that I’m super excited to try out soon! I love google blog finds!

  • One box, four cats

    1box4cats
They are all a bunch of crazy kids. Who needs a cat bed when you have an Amazon box?

  • I’ve had some really awesome workouts this week thanks to having no daytime obligations, I love break.
Friday: Yoga, I’m trying not to slack on the yoga since my 30 day yoga streak is over, but I definitely did during exams and my muscles were tightttt, but by the end of class they were all nice and loose-y goose-y
Saturday: Weightlifting, I’ve been feeling a little weak and squishy lately so I’m trying to get more strength training back into my routine, yay muscles!
Sunday: An Interval Training class at the gym, I haven’t been to one of these since the summer and I really enjoyed it! The class is 90/60/30 second intervals of cardio and strength training. I worked hard then went home and ate lots of Christmas cookies. It’s all about balance right?
Monday: Pilates! I love being able to go to classes outside of my University, it gives me lots of good ideas/cues for my classes. This instructor was so good and intense, my abs were feeling it! And I ran a 5k on the treadmill after class.
Tuesday: Another yoga class, I loved this particular teacher, her classes are very flowy and she always gives savasana adjustments which feel amazing!
Wednesday: 5.5 mile run! My longest run since May!
Thursday: 5k run with the running group at my gym and weights. Maybe not the best decision to run back to back days but my legs were feeling good and I don’t get many opportunities to run with other people so I jumped on the chance.
Today!: Yoga and more weights! My legs were tight after all that running!

That was a lot of words and not a lot of pictures, let me make up for that:

  • Lately I’ve been renewing my love for kale:

    kale1
    kale2
I was on a big spinach kick for a while because it’s easier to prepare, but I picked up a bag of kale at Trader Joe’s the other day which was a fantastic decision. I love my greens!

Are you traveling anywhere for Christmas?

What are your weekend plans?

Have you baked any Christmas cookies/goodies? I want details!

Thankful Thursday

I can’t believe it’s already November because I’m pretty sure it was just September like a couple of days ago. Time needs to slow down! I’m not ready to graduate in 6 months! But I am ready for some Thanksgiving festivities, so I’ll take it.

Today I’m participating in Jessie‘s Thankful Thursday. I love this idea because I’m sure we could all be a little more grateful for all the wonderful things in our lives, I know I could.

Snow

Normally, I really hate the snow and you’ll probably hear me complain about it all winter, but this week I am grateful for it. With all the pain and destruction Sandy has caused in the Northeast, I’m thankful the only thing I have to complain about it a little bit of snow in October. It’s really not that bad when you put it in perspective.

School

We were talking about Malala the other day and I couldn’t help but feel grateful that I live in a country that guarantees me an education. I’m even more thankful that I have the opportunity to go to college. College gets stressful and overwhelming, but it’s important to remember how lucky I am to even have the opportunity to go to college.

Health

I may drag my feet some days on the way to the gym, or complain about a bad run/class/etc. but in reality I’m lucky that I have a strong, healthy and fully functioning body. A body that lets me move around, teach Pilates, lift heavy things and sometimes bend in unnatural ways. Whatever silly insecurities I may have about it, I’m so thankful for it.

The People in My Life

I’m surrounded by some seriously awesome and supportive people:

My family, even if we can’t manage to take a picture where everyone’s eyes are open

My Boyfriend, for putting up with my quirks and loving me regardless (our anniversary is this month – 6 years!)

And my friends, for little me be my ridiculous self and being just as ridiculous in turn.

My Kitties

Yes I am a crazy cat lady, no I do not care. They’re always there to cuddle with me when I’m sad and don’t get too mad when I terrorize them, give them silly nicknames and try to dress them up.

That’s a beautiful scarf there Sam.

And last but not least…

Peanut Butter

Don’t act like you didn’t know that was coming.

What are some things you’re thankful for?

Yoga Challenge Week 3 Recap

First can I just say that the more politics and debate I listen to the more I just want to live on a hippie commune. I’m already sick of this election stuff (but you can bet your booty I’ll still be voting!)

Anyway, back to yoga.

Sweet Tooth, Sweet Life

(Thanks again to Courtney for hosting this fun challenge!)

I kinda failed this week at yoga.

Which is really backwards because I had such a stressful week that I should have done more yoga, not less. One day I’ll get that right. I think the problem is that I’m only a teeny step of way from pulling my hair out in full-on stress mode so when I actually have free time I just want to curl up in a comfy chair and watch Food Network for hours on end.

It happens.

I did get two out of three yoga sessions for the week, which isn’t too bad.

Yoga Breakdown:

  • Wednesday: Hip-opener podcast from YogaJournal.com, my hips are getting tight! My hips used to be crazy flexible from all the dance I used to do and I’ve lost a lot of it, which makes me kinda sad. I need to work on stretching more consistently, especially after runs and spin class.

I used to be able to do this! I want it back!

  • Today: I did a Gentle Flow sequence (also Yoga Journal, I’m telling you I’m addicted to their podcasts!), which felt sooo good. Nothing like stretching out those tired, overstressed muscles. I think my body was basically telling me “hey, yoga is good when you are stressed, stop ignoring it. I like it.” I like tough power yoga, but gentle yoga can feel so dang good sometimes.

So my yoga week was not too bad, but my body needed so much more yoga than I actually did. It’s a shame that when I need yoga the most I let it fall by the wayside. Oh well, it’s something I’m working on, and I’m hoping to get in more yoga sessions this week!

And now for some pictures of my cats, because I miss them a lot:

I put a necklace on him so he looks extra pretty.

He actually sleeps like this, he’s a pretty ridiculous cat.

We are one crazy cat family and I’m perfectly okay with that. I miss the furry nuggets like crazy.

Do you stretch after workouts? I am terrible at remembering to!

Are you a cat or dog person? I pick both, even though I have lots of cats, I like dogs too.

Marvelous In My Monday

Things that made today marvelous:

  • No class! Three day weekends are the besttt.
  • Taking advantage of the one three day weekend I’ll have for a while and going home to see my family. My brothers were even home for the weekend.
  • Seeing these cute faces:

Plus three more. Crazy cat lady in the making right here. Not ashamed.
  • I watched Five Year Engagement with my boyfriend, romantic comedies with Jason Segal are always eerily similar to our relationship.
The knitted tuxedo was my favorite.
  • Strawberries were on sale at Harris Teeter, and they were delicious. Double Whammy.
  • A new chocolate discovery:
Unsweetened Bakers Chocolate straight up is my new favorite treat. Yes I’m weird. Extra chocolate without the sugar overload? Count me in. I love bitter things.
  • Homework that involves coloring. Senior year is hard =)
  • And did I mention I didn’t have class today? Because it was fantastic.

What made your Monday marvelous?

What’s your favorite Jason Segal movie? I love forgetting Sarah Marshall, and How I Met Your Mother – not a movie but that’s okay.

That’s So Pinteresting…

I’m in a big Pinterest phase right now. I know, me and every other girl in the country. But I go through waves with Pinterest, sometimes I’m obsessed and sometimes, like when I actually have work to get done, I kind of forget about it. But now that summer is here, and I have entirely too much free time, I’m back on a Pinterest kick. Watch out.

Some fun things I’ve found on Pinterest lately (click pictures for source):

I love the long, crazy patterned skirt trend. Unfortunately at 5’4″ I’m not so sure I can pull off a multi-colored floor length skirt. I’ll still lust over them though.

This is Fauja Singh a 100 year old marathoner. There go all my excuses. I think about this picture whenever I want to bail on a run or workout with some lame excuse.

Mountain top yoga is on my bucket list. How amazing of an experience would that be? I need to get my yoga teaching friends to do this with me next year!

I love this idea, I’ve got an old dresser that needs some serious loving. I’m pretty sure it’s as old as I am and it could use a new fun coat of paint. I might have to spruce it up this summer.

I would have a field day. Plain walls are so boring. Give me a paint pen and let me go to town.

We watched a documentary in one of my art classes about Andy Goldsworthy and I’ve been in love with his work ever since. It’s so natural and highlights the beauty of nature. I also love how his art is temporary and meant to be enjoyed in that moment rather than stuck in a gallery forever.

I need this in my life. ASAP. Next paycheck?

Too stinkin cute. Anything with a cat on it is adorable. Maybe that makes me sound like a 5 year old. Do not care.

Coffee and cleverly designed packaging? Yes please. I get ridiculously excited over design things like this. It’s a little (a lot) nerdy but I’m okay with that. And I love coffee. A lot.

That was a weird mishmash of things, oh well.

You can find me on Pinterest here if you’re interested.

Are you addicted to Pinterest? I’ll be impressed if you’re not.
